20th Anniversary Bi-Centennial Project Delegate Early Settlers Hut & the First place of worship on Monaro
October 25th & 26th 2008
Was a wonderful successful weekend, with many ex-Delegate residents returning for the celebrations. A great display of poetry readings, whip cracking, shingle making and more entertained the masses throughout the day.
The Delegate Station garden day was enjoyed by all and the Jeffreys family is to be thanked and commended on the state of a wonderful garden they generously opened for the public on Saturday.
The Art Centre at the old hospital had a great display of photos and paintings by the many talented locals. The Borderline Gallery also opened with its current display of 'All Things Metal'.
The History Room at the Delegate School of Arts was a stop many enjoyed allowing them to reminiscence of attending events as well as the people involved in the History Room itself.
A great lunch was provided at the Showground and while there people could search the many stalls for a bargain.
Rix and Jenny Wright also opened their place so the public could get a preview of the wonderful statue that Rix is designing for the town of Delegate.
All those who had anything to do with the organisation and running of the day must be thanked for their energies to make the day so great.
 - Bus tours are one of our main fund raisers, with the visitors being served tea and damper.
