Pursuant to the relevant clauses in the Local Government
Act and Council Policy, supply of goods and/or services above the value of $100,000 are by Tender only. Tenders are sought by means of advertisements in relevant newspapers. Written Quotations for goods and/or services below $100,000 but above $5000 are sought in a similar way.

From time to time, Council will call for Expressions of Interest to seek responses to a concept rather than a detailed specification, enabling innovative approaches or solutions to be offered. However, awarding of a contract will not be decided just on expressions of interest.

Local Supplier Purchasing Policy
In considering quotations Council will be mindful of the "community benefit" principle, which is contained within Council's Policy on Purchasing - Reference 2.4.2
