Platypus Trekkers Tour Australia
The Bombala Lions Club are excited to announce their latest fundraiser for their major project-the resurfacing of the walkway around the Bombala River. The idea is that the participating community members will walk 100 k's each and the sponsorship they raise for their walks will go towards the re-sealing project. Progress of the k's walked will be marked on a map of Australia and our Visitor Information Centre staff will be contacting Visitors Centres along the route to find out what you would actually see if you walked the actual k's. This project will be a lot of fun. You will be able to get fit, at the same time help a very worth while cause and have a Clayton's holiday!!!!!
The project will be launched at the Tony Thornell Memorial Park at 5.30 pm on February 2.
Info packs and registration forms will be available at the Platypus Visitors Information Centre after that date. Your community website will have regular updates through out the 15 weeks of the initial project.
For further info contact Rhonda D Whetham 6458 3586 or Dian Day 6458 3309.
